Huawei: Just drag and drop and uninstall from homescreen?

Yes, this is really true. We have also tried this on several Huawei/Honor devices with other (also very well-known Security) Apps. They all have the same problem and can be removed from the device in this way. With this type of uninstal, the children’s mobile phone is not deleted from the Web Portal.

You will notice this type of deinstallation because the “Last Sync” date in the Web Portal is getting older and older and you no longer see any current logs. At this point, we can only advise you to take a regular look at the usage logs. You can also activate the e-mail reports (also daily) to stay up to date. If the app has been uninstalled in this way, some parents will also like to switch to hardware backup (temporary removal of the device).

An effective countermeasure is the activation of the crack protection: With active operating aids and the attempt to install the app in this way, it is recognized as crack/manipulation. The device then remains locked until you have released it again with your password (alternatively also via the Web Portal).

This problem only concerns Huawei and Honor devices and is due to their unique Android implementation. On other devices the uninstallation is effectively protected by the device administrator.
